Enersafe, Inc. satisfies our customers' battery monitoring needs by dividing the various types of power backup systems into two distinct classes; low powered systems with total system voltage under 60DC and high powered system with total system voltage from 150VDC to 600VDC.

The low powered systems are commonly found in but not limited to the Telecom Industry. The higher powered systems are generally associated with large UPS systems that provide power backup to mission critical AC powered systems.

Enersafe addresses these two distinct markets with our LifeLink® 48T and LifeLink® 600 systems respectively. These systems are completely modular in design and are described in detail in the documentation and data sheets contained herein.

LifeLink® 48T Server. The 48T was developed to address the specific needs of the Telecommunications industry. This configuration incorporates a system voltage probe and an AC current source for low voltage (< 60VDC) applications. The optional battery and current probes must be added externally. The internal AC Current Source has the capacity to provide a maximum of 4.5 Amps rms of AC current (refer to impedance section for impedance measurements capability in this configuration). The server can control up to 72 battery probes configured in up to 10 strings. DC voltage of the system under test powers the server.

LifeLink® 600 Server.
This unit can work as a stand-alone, system level version of the Battery Monitor (requires external current probes, up to 10 total). The base unit operates as a system voltage and ambient temperature monitor if no external probes are utilized. Addition of external probes allows the LifeLink® 600 server to be expanded into a fully functional battery level monitor. An optional, factory installed, Server-resident display is also available on the LifeLink® 600 Server.

Battery performance probe, voltage range: 7.5V to 15V DC. The ESP-BPP12 Probe is applicable to batteries with 4-6 cells and can be used on any system

String current probe. The probe provides an analog, signal conditioning front end for the measurement of string current with a clamp type sensor. The probe features a dual +/-15VDC output, with 30mA current capability to power an external clamp. The standard clamp output range must be +/-5VDC. 60Hz version (for use in US market). (There are also provisions for non-US markets). High AC gain.

All nodes in the Enersafe LifeLink® system are connected in a single daisy chain, using a ribbon cable terminated with female JST connectors on both ends. This simplifies system wiring, significantly reduces installation time, and results in a far neater finished job than one can get from a “star” or “hub and spoke” configuration.
